Join our team at Denver Health and Hospital Authority as an Ambulatory P & T and Formulary Management Coordinator! the pharmacist program coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities and processes designed to provide efficient and appropriate pharmacy program services system-wide.We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about pharmacy services and patient care. Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage the formulary system for ambulatory care clinics
  • Participate in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews and provide recommendations for formulary changes
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to formulary management
  • Identifies program training and staff development needs of employees and ensures appropriate training and competencies are provided in relation to the program
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with other members of the healthcare team and with pharmacy leadership

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions and drug information
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Experience in prescription dispensing and hospital pharmacy operations
  • Ability to perform IV admixture and unit dose dispensing
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and non-sterile compounding

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience in outpatient pharmacy and IV compounding
  • Proficiency in typing prescriptions and patient counseling
  • Familiarity with USP 797 standards and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with other members of the healthcare team and with pharmacy leadership
  • Previous experience in pharmacy management

Salary and Benefits:

  • Minimum Salary: $131,100.00
  • Maximum Salary: $209,800.00
