Position Overview:
As an active member of the health care team, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for contacting other health care professionals as appropriate, performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the hospital’s mission and values. The Clinical Pharmacist will ensure safe, optimal and efficacious drug therapy for patients, as you review, process and monitor physician orders and patient medication profiles.
What You'll Do:
Oversee the accurate and safe dispensing of medication orders, ensuring proper handling, usage, and storage of all pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy.
Translate departmental policies and procedures into daily operational practices to maintain high standards.
Serve as a primary information resource on medication therapy and drug-related literature for patients.
Provide expert drug information and consultations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Plan and organize the work schedules for supportive personnel and other pharmacists as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in medication preparation and dispensing.
Monitor drug therapy for efficacy, side effects, and potential adverse reactions, intervening as necessary.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management.
Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and adherence strategies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services and patient care initiatives.
What You’ll Bring:
License: Active and in-good-standing Nevada State Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm D or B.S.
Experience: 5+ Years of pharmacy experience, including 1+ years of clinical pharmacy experience required and residency or BPS certification required
Screening: Must pass a background check, drug screen, and health screening

Competitive pay: $65+ per hour (depending on experience), relocation assistance available
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am - 5pm
