Hospital-Based Travel Role | Potential Temp-to-Hire

We are seeking a seasoned Hospital Pharmacist for a rewarding travel opportunity in Susanville, California . This position is based in an inpatient hospital setting and offers a chance to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is an ideal assignment for pharmacists who thrive in smaller hospital environments and are comfortable managing a full range of responsibilitiesfrom sterile compounding to clinical functions like pharmacokinetics and antimicrobial monitoring. Youll work with modern systems like Cerner, Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, and Pharmacy Keeper while supporting a team of pharmacists and techs in delivering top-tier care to a rural patient population.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks+ with possible extension

• Schedule: Rotating days Sunday to Wednesday every other week and Monday to Thursday the alternate week

• Weekend Coverage: Sundays 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM

• On-call required: On scheduled workdays (Mon-Sat: 3:30 PM 7:00 AM, Sun: 11:00 AM Mon 7:00 AM)

• Start: ASAP

Requirements:

• Active California Pharmacist license

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience

• Proficiency in sterile compounding and independent preparation of IV medications

• Strong clinical background with experience in anticoagulation, pharmacokinetics, and antimicrobial stewardship

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a lean-staffed facility
