Scope of Position
Prepares and packages medication dosage forms for oral, parenteral, enteral, ophthalmic, topical, and rectal administration for patient use and in the research protocol, Minimum Education Required: Graduate or Equivalent. Required Qualifications: High school diploma, active OH Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician registration, PTCB/NHA certification, Further qualifications defined based on departmental guidance on pharmacy technician career laddering.
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients, as well as providing necessary services and information to nursing and medical staff. These positions are also responsible for supporting initiatives of area supervisors and managers.
Minimum Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent. Certified Pharmacy Technician. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
