Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – Closed-Door Pharmacy – Columbia, MO

A leading employee-owned closed-door pharmacy specializing in supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health needs is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead its Columbia-based pharmacy team.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a mission-driven environment focused on patient care, operational excellence, and strong collaboration with healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical services.

  • Manage and mentor pharmacy staff, including technicians and support roles.

  • Ensure strict compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations, including controlled substances and privacy laws.

  • Conduct patient consultations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.

  • Oversee medication ordering, dispensing, and inventory management.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive operational improvements.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among the team.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and community partners.

  • Champion employee ownership culture by promoting engagement and shared success.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.

  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Missouri.

  • 2–3 years of pharmacist experience, with prior leadership or PIC experience preferred.

  • Proficient in pharmacy regulations, clinical protocols, and team management.

Location: Columbia, MO
Pharmacy Hours: Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
