Job Description
Pharmacy Manager (Non-Sterile Compounding) – Los Angeles, CA
About the Company
A decades-old compounding pharmacy in Los Angeles is entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership. Recently acquired by committed investors, the company is well-positioned for growth and modernization while continuing its strong reputation for patient care. With $7M in annual revenue and a loyal client base, the pharmacy specializes in non-sterile compounding (503A) and is focused on expanding its reach through new prescriber relationships, service lines, and operational enhancements.
The Role
The Pharmacy Manager (Head Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge) will serve as the clinical and operational leader of the pharmacy, overseeing all compounding activities, compliance standards, and patient care. Beyond day-to-day leadership, this role will be instrumental in driving the pharmacy’s next phase of growth — working closely with ownership to increase revenue, expand service offerings, and strengthen provider and patient relationships. The position offers a highly competitive executive-level compensation package, including salary, performance-based bonuses, and equity participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily pharmacy operations with a focus on compounding quality and regulatory compliance.
- Manage and develop a team of pharmacists and technicians, fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Serve as a key point of contact for prescribing physicians and patients to ensure individualized, high-quality care.
- Maintain strong compliance with California Board of Pharmacy, USP, and FDA standards where applicable.
- Partner with ownership to execute growth initiatives, including expanding revenue streams, service lines, and new client relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Licensed Pharmacist with an active California license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- 7+ years of compounding experience (non-sterile required).
- Deep knowledge of 503A compounding regulations and best practices.
- Proven leadership experience managing pharmacy staff and operations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to support growth initiatives and revenue expansion.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Multi-lingual a plus (Farsi, Spanish, Armenian encouraged to apply).
Compensation
- Competitive executive salary.
- Performance-based bonuses.
- Equity participation tied to company growth.
