Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a well-established 300-bed hospital in the Auburn/Opelika area as a Staff Pharmacist, supporting inpatient medication services with a focus on accuracy and patient safety. This contract opportunity offers a solid assignment of 13+ weeks with the possibility of a travel-to-hire arrangement. Immediate availability is preferred to help meet critical staffing needs. Responsibilities: Perform medication order verification and ensure accuracy of prescriptions Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy Provide clinical support and patient counseling as needed Utilize Cerner electronic health records for medication management Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations Assist with sterile compounding when applicable (experience a plus) Qualifications: Active Alabama pharmacist license required Minimum 6 months to 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and workflow Familiarity with Cerner or similar EHR systems preferred Ability to work varied day shifts, typically starting between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM and ending around 4:30 PM Availability Monday through Friday Location: Auburn/Opelika, Alabama This role is an excellent fit for pharmacists seeking to advance their clinical skills in a supportive inpatient setting.
