About the Role
The Pharmacist (Night Shift) plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications during overnight hours, supporting continuous patient care. This position requires strong attention to detail to accurately interpret prescriptions, verify dosages, and provide guidance on medication usage and potential side effects.
The pharmacist collaborates with healthcare teams to manage inventory, monitor drug interactions, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Working night shifts, this role ensures 24/7 pharmaceutical support, addressing urgent medication needs and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
Active pharmacist license in the United States
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmacy law
Experience in a pharmacy setting
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in compounding
BLS or ACLS certification
Familiarity with EHR and pharmacy systems
Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience
Specialized training (e.g., oncology, infectious diseases)
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense medications during night shifts
