Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in need of leadership in their pharmacy department is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy for an inpatient behavioral health setting. This contract opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule with six-hour shifts, starting mid-May and continuing until a permanent hire is secured. Responsibilities: Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Manage medication dispensing processes, including repackaging and loading drugs into automated systems. Utilize experience with Omnicell systems and perform restock reporting. Provide guidance and support to pharmacy staff to maintain high-quality patient care. Qualifications: Valid Iowa pharmacist license required. Experience with Omnicell medication management systems preferred. Proficiency in repackaging medications using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of automated medication machine loading and restocking procedures. Strong leadership and organizational skills within a behavioral health clinical setting. Location: Council Bluffs, Iowa (Inpatient Behavioral Health Setting) Schedule: Monday through Friday 6 hours per day This contract role is a vital leadership position for a pharmacy department during a transition period.
