Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to support an inpatient behavioral health facility in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract position begins on 5/18 and will continue until a permanent hire is placed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 hours per day, providing a balanced workweek with focused hours. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily pharmacy operations within an inpatient behavioral health setting Manage medication dispensing processes, including repackaging and automated machine maintenance Lead and support pharmacy staff to ensure quality and compliance with regulations Run restock reports and maintain inventory accuracy Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize pharmaceutical care Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Iowa pharmacy license (IA License) required Prior experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred Familiarity with repackaging using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems is highly desirable Basic skills in loading drugs into automated machines and running restock reports strongly valued Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage pharmacy operations effectively Location: Council Bluffs, IA This role offers a unique chance to lead pharmacy services in a behavioral health environment on a contract basis.
