CHIEF PHARMACY OFFICER (CPO)

Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing healthcare in underserved communities in Western North Carolina.
Lead a mission that matters. As our Chief Pharmacy Officer, you won't just manage a department; you will be the architect of pharmaceutical care for the underserved in Western North Carolina.
Your Impact
Strategic Oversight: Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing organizational leadership. Leads the pharmacy's clinical and operational direction across multiple health centers.
Program Mastery: Ensure 100% compliance and optimization of our 340B drug pricing program.
Integrated Care: Partner with Medical, Behavioral Health, Clinical Pharmacy Practitioners, and Dental providers to provide "whole-person" treatment.
Advocacy: Manages the Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) service line and Patient Pharmacy Benefits (PPB) service line to support chronic disease management and ensure medication access for all, regardless of insurance.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $165,000 to $180,000 (40 hours/week)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PharmD or BS Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school
- Current North Carolina Board of Pharmacy License
- License is free of restrictions or exclusions to allow billing to Medicare and Medicaid
- Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Russian is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
- 8 to 10 years' experience in a pharmacy setting, required
- Minimum of 3 years in leadership or management role
- Experience with the 340b drug pricing program, required
- Minimum 1 year managing a 340b drug pricing program, preferred
- Familiarity with role of FQHCs in the community
