The position is contract-based with start dates available as soon as possible or by early to mid-June. Flexible shift start times and variable days, including weekends, allow for dynamic scheduling within an 8-hour workday framework. Location: Fort Wainwright, AK Schedule/Hours: 8-hour shifts with start times at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00 AM Variable days of the week, including weekends Holiday shifts as needed, typically 4-5 hours 11:00 AM shifts usually not followed by 7:00 AM shifts Responsibilities: Accurately process standard hospital pharmacy orders Perform product verification in accordance with hospital protocols Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe medication use Work adaptable shifts including holidays when required Qualifications/Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacist experience Proficient with standard hospital pharmacy order processing and product verification Experience with Cerner preferred Must hold an active AK pharmacist license or be willing to obtain a temporary license and apply for full licensure within 24 hours of acceptance Benefits and Perks: Free 1-bedroom housing provided (no pet units available) This contract role demands a pharmacist comfortable with hospital practices and flexible scheduling.
