This contract role provides critical Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) coverage during a transition period, with an expected duration of 8+ weeks starting immediately. Key Responsibilities: Oversee order verification and ensure accuracy in medication distribution Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory efficiently Utilize order entry system (HCS) for medication processing (experience preferred) Manage site automation technology (Omnicell), with familiarity preferred Serve as the primary pharmacist in charge with leadership over pharmacy staff Comply with facility's behavioral health specialty requirements and protocols Support pharmacy operations Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on-site Provide remote coverage on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Qualifications: Valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing is required Prior experience in behavioral health pharmacy is advantageous Experience with HCS order entry system strongly preferred Comfortable working without pharmacy technician support Strong leadership and organizational skills to maintain smooth pharmacy operations Additional Details: Location: Byron Center, MI Facility dress code: purple scrubs Nearest airport: Gerald Ford International Airport (GRR) Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Saturdays 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (remote) This is a contract position covering until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired Candidates with passion and expertise in behavioral health pharmacy who hold a Michigan pharmacist license are encouraged to apply to provide quality pharmacy leadership and support during this transitional period.
