Job Summary:

Pharmacy Director

The Pharmacy Director oversees all pharmacy operations and ensures compliance with FDA, DNV, ASHP, State Board of Pharmacy, and 340B program requirements. This leadership role includes administrative oversight as well as the ability to provide hands-on pharmacy support when needed to ensure continuity of patient care and departmental operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily pharmacy operations and supervise pharmacy staff
  • Provide pharmacist support and assist with pharmacy workflow as needed
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DNV, ASHP, State Board of Pharmacy, and 340B regulations
  • Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and formulary management
  • Oversee medication safety, quality assurance, narcotics control, and adverse event reporting
  • Manage departmental budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and drug distribution
  • Collaborate with medical staff and hospital departments to support patient care initiatives
  • Coordinate Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship activities, and pharmacy education programs
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Support and promote the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required; Master's degree preferred
  • Active Registered Pharmacist license required
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmacy management experience
  • Experience managing a 340B program required
  • Strong leadership qualities are a must
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and team management skills
  • Knowledge of hospital pharmacy regulations, DNV standards, and state/federal drug laws
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
  • Strong understanding of medication safety and hospital pharmacy operations
  • Continuing education requirements maintained per licensure standards

Comp Range:

$131,123.57 - $182,347.97
