The role requires thorough medication management, patient-centered service, and collaboration with the healthcare team while working night shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule. Location: Fairfield, OH Schedule: Night shifts, 8:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Thursday through Wednesday, alternating 7 nights on, 7 nights off Contract Duration: 13+ weeks Start Date: June 1 Responsibilities Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions Monitor and manage patient medication therapies to ensure effectiveness and safety Provide drug information to patients, families, and healthcare staff Participate in emergency drug therapy, including responding to calls and preparation Oversee pharmacy technician activities to align with patient and organizational needs Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines Uphold organizational values such as empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork Foster safety, quality improvement, and customer service excellence through communication and collaboration Qualifications Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school Minimum one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff, patients, and families Ability to perform duties requiring medium physical effort (lifting 20-50 pounds occasionally) Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to ethical and legal standards This is a contract opportunity suited for pharmacists licensed in Ohio with hospital experience seeking a structured night-shift role.
