Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Travel A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee inpatient pharmacy operations at a well-established hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This travel position requires a pharmacist with strong clinical and management skills, committed to ensuring safe, cost-effective medication therapies and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include developing and enforcing pharmacy policies and procedures, maintaining an approved formulary, supervising medication storage and preparation, and ensuring medication supply integrity. The role demands strict accountability for medications dispensed, controlled substance management, and maintaining competency and licensure records. As a key leader, the pharmacist manager will supervise all pharmacy personnel, develop job descriptions and performance standards, manage staffing schedules, and oversee educational initiatives. Collaboration with other departments and participation in organizational committees to enhance pharmacy services are essential duties. Qualifications and Desired Experience: PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited school (BS Pharmacy graduates not eligible) Current Colorado Pharmacy license in good standing Significant demonstrated leadership in pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy services Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements combined with strong clinical judgment and communication skills EPIC electronic health record experience is mandatory Certification in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) Mandatory flu vaccination (no exemptions allowed during Oct 1-Apr 1) Schedule & Location: Full-time Day Shift, 40 hours per week, with flexibility to cover evenings, nights, and weekends as needed Position based in Glenwood Springs, CO This is a 24-week travel assignment starting ASAP. Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify. Complete application requirements include a resume, skill sheet, proof of flu vaccination, BLS and ACLS certifications, Colorado pharmacy license, and demonstrated EPIC experience.
