UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

The pharmacy operations m anager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed. This includes inventory management, staff oversight, policy and procedure development , and education within the pharmacy. In addition , the operations m anager should provide support, mentoring , and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and suppo rtive personnel on staff. The operations m anager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy .
5 + year ’ s hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience) .
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy .
Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
BLS certification.
Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, Electronic Medical Record Systems .
