  • UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

The pharmacy operations m anager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed. This includes inventory management, staff oversight, policy and procedure development , and education within the pharmacy. In addition , the operations m anager should provide support, mentoring , and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and suppo rtive personnel on staff. The operations m anager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy .
  • 5 + year ’ s hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience) .
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy .
  • Other applicable state requirements – i.e. sterile compounding, etc.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, Electronic Medical Record Systems .

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy .
  • 1 year as a pharmacy operations specialist .
  • Hospital Pharmacy Management experience .
  • ALS/ ACLS certification .
