Pharmacy Technician, Sr.

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, the incumbent coordinates and oversees pharmacy processing, fulfillment operations, and medication procurement and inventory management. Exhibits skill in ordering medications through primary and secondary wholesalers maintaining optimal inventory levels, monitoring drug price fluctuations to ensure cost-effective purchasing and minimize shortages. Knowledgeable in medication storage requirements. Generates billing statements. Collaborates closely with pharmacists, vendors and staff to support safe and efficient patient care. Experience with 340B pharmacy programs is desirable. High school diploma or GED required; Certified Pharmacy Technician and a minimum of five years retail pharmacy experience required. Basic computer data entry skills required. Must be able to pass math test. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to work rotating shifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
