Title: Pharmacist I Location: Brooks, KY, 40109 Shift: 7:30am - 8pm Duration: 6 Months Note: Requirement is an active pharmacist license in the state of Kentucky. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Responsibilities Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds/dispenses medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines Consults customers on medication use, potential drug interactions, and provides counseling Handles complex customer issues and problem resolution Dispenses inpatient and outpatient medications and verifies prescriptions per professional, facility, and legal standards Educates patients on dosage, frequency, special requirements, and drug interactions Addresses patient questions and concerns regarding prescriptions Reviews and evaluates patient care plans for conflicts Manages pharmacy technicians (hiring, termination, performance management) Monitors staff performance to ensure compliance with policies and dispensing processes Maintains procedures for quality assurance, controlled substance security, and record keeping Recommends operational improvements to enhance customer service Performs prescription verification (unit doses), order entry, and IV admixtures verification Provides technical guidance to pharmacy technicians Resolves escalated customer inquiries and issues Offers pharmaceutical consultation to internal staff on pharmacy operations Reviews daily reports and manages technician scheduling (including leave tracking) Oversees customer files and ensures compliance with licensing requirements Leads department meetings and conducts training sessions for technicians Performs additional duties as assigned Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills Works efficiently and accurately in high-volume environments Exhibits strong leadership and interpersonal skills Resolves customer issues creatively to improve satisfaction Maintains knowledge of pharmaceutical products, services, and drug interactions Required Skills & Competencies Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure Leadership and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and analytical abilities Attention to detail Expertise in: Pharmaceutical products and services Drug interactions Proficiency in: Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Additional Notes Candidates must demonstrate the ability to: Multitask effectively Maintain high accuracy under volume constraints Provide strong leadership within the pharmacy team a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; }
