Job Description
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day distributive activities at the assigned Kaleida Health Pharmacy site. This individual works closely with the pharmacy manger to implement and maintain policies and procedures common to all Kaleida Health sites as well as appropriate site-specific policies/procedures when necessary to assure adequate and appropriate resources, including staff and medications/supplies. Responsible to implement the site procedures for pharmacy dispensing, including intravenous admixtures, prepackaging and inventory control functions. Responsible for direct supervision and evaluation of the Pharmacy Department Staff. Responsible to problem solve and resolve concerns of staff, management, physicians, patients and family members within the scope of their responsibility involving managerial/administrative representatives as warranted.
Education And CredentialsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D required.
Experience
2 years of experience in Hospital pharmacy setting preferred. 2 years of experience in managing staff or functioning in lead role preferred. 1 year of experience in Pyxis ES medstation, Cerner & Dose Edge applications preferred. Microsoft Excel 2000- Normal User Skills Test required. Microsoft Outlook 2003 Skills Test required. Microsoft Windows 7 Skills Test required. Pharmacist required.
