Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge at a new behavioral health facility specializing in inpatient care. You will play a crucial leadership role in launching pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and supporting patient care in a behavioral health setting. Key Responsibilities: Oversee pharmacy operations and serve as the working Director of Pharmacy Manage the opening of the facility's pharmacy, including stocking and setting up Omnicell automation systems Approve medication orders and facilitate safe, efficient medication use Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings Provide on-call coverage after day shifts with potential weekend on-call responsibilities Utilize and maintain proficiency in HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation (training provided) Ensure compliance with regulations and pharmacy standards without sterile compounding responsibilities Qualifications and Preferred Experience: Licensed pharmacist in Illinois (required) Experience directing pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting, preferably behavioral health Prior use of HCS order entry and Omnicell automation systems preferred Strong leadership and organizational skills for managing a pharmacy start-up and ongoing operations Local candidates preferred; travel expenses may be reviewed for qualified candidates relocating from outside the area Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, plus on-call coverage after each shift Possible weekend on-call responsibilities Location: Peoria, Illinois, near Peoria International Airport Business casual dress code This contract opportunity begins as soon as May 25th, with expected coverage through July (end date subject to change).
