RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific Competencies:
Assists the pharmacist in preparing patient prescriptions for inpatient and outpatient services, including prescriptions for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Correctly uses facility communication systems.
Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Prefer graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Experience:
Prefer 1-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Certification/License:
Registered in the State of MO as a pharmacy technician in good standing is required.
BLS required-or can obtain within 90 days of hire
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to use computerized information systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed in an interior/office environment. Occasionally work involves driving to locations off of the main campus.
