Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care by assisting with prescription processing, medication preparation, inventory management, insurance billing, and customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

• Accurately enter and process prescription information.
• Assist pharmacists with prescription preparation and dispensing.
• Process insurance claims and assist with prior authorization requests as needed.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding prescriptions and medication needs.
• Answer phones and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Maintain inventory levels, receive orders, and stock medications and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and shipping of medications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Support pharmacy operations and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

• Current Utah Pharmacy Technician License
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
