Job Description
We are hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position in Bullhead City, AZ at a hospital. The Pharmacist will ensure safe and accurate distribution of medications, collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing, educate nursing staff and patients, support medication safety initiatives, prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, and maintain narcotic accountability. Practice must comply with state and federal laws, DEA regulations, The Joint Commission standards, and hospital policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Pharmacist license required.
- Hospital pharmacy experience required.
- IV certification required.
- Current BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience with MedHost EMR preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of pharmacist experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a 100-200 bed hospital setting preferred.
- Experience with medication safety programs preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 2000-0700.
- Schedule pattern: 7 on/7 off, Wednesday to Tuesday.
- On-call coverage every other weekend covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Pharmacy open on facility-recognized holidays.
