This position serves as a key leader responsible for pharmacy services and medication management for Community Pharmacy at Intermountain. The leader is responsible for broad oversight of multiple business units and practice areas, or highly complex process and workflows. The leader strives to meet all established outcomes for clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, customer service, provider engagement, caregiver engagement, and leadership. This leader will ensure that pharmacy services are delivered consistently with Intermountain Healths Fundamentals of Care (i.e., safety & quality, members patients & communities, stewardship, and caregivers) and aligned to System Pharmacy Services. This leader will implement and support clinical and operational initiatives by fostering a culture of highly engaged caregivers aligned to the goals of the service line, and the Organization. This leader is responsible for the fiscal performance management of the department(s) and supports the enterprise pharmacy operations director through coordinating with the facility operation leaders and hospital pharmacy directors when required. The pharmacy leader establishes interdisciplinary relationships to ensure the quality of medication therapy provided. The leader is responsible to participate in both Facility and Enterprise initiatives and goal planning. This leader is responsible for ensuring the facility(s) remains perpetually compliant with all current laws, regulations, and requirements established by regulatory bodies that guide pharmacy practice. Additionally, this role may be asked to lead initiatives a as part of the extended pharmacy services team and any other responsibilities relevant to this position.

The director provides strategic and operational leadership for medication procurement, centralized fulfillment, and distribution across Specialty, home delivery, and mail order pharmacy services. This leader is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant medication dispensing and shipping workflows across a multi-state footprint, supporting a high-volume operation and advanced automation.

This role oversees end-to-end fulfillment operations, including inventory management, automation technologies, packaging, and last-mile delivery execution, with a focus on optimizing throughput, reducing cost, and enhancing the patient experience.
