Schedule: This lead position position will primarily work weekdays with flexibility needed to cover evenings, nights, and weekends based on patient and operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Pharmacist, supervises the outpatient retail pharmacy
- Enters orders into prescription processing system under outpatient pharmacist supervision
- Fills and labels medication orders under the supervision of an outpatient pharmacist.
- Ring out medications to people picking them up. Receive prescriptions from people dropping them off.
- Process Health works charges to hospital prescription system
- Maintains pharmacy records, file prescriptions in order at the end of each day.
- Participates in Inventory Control and ordering process. As part of inventory control regular monitoring of prescription bottle expiration dates is expected.
- Participates with the pharmacist and Coordinator – Product Support in monitoring and maintaining drug inventories and preparing orders for drugs and related supplies.
- Check prescription bins for prescriptions filled more than 14 days prior to date check, reverse them, and restock medication to shelf
- Understand/utilize 340B Drug Purchasing Program.
- Troubleshoot prescription insurance inquiries to resolve disputes.
Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) credential required
1+ year(s) of inpatient experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Bilingual: Spanish/English preferred
