Pharmacy Technician

A healthcare organization in Dublin, OH is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their team and support coordination with pharmacies and payors. This role is ideal for someone with strong phone communication skills and a background in pharmacy operations, particularly those with experience in patient and insurance interactions. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 10:30am to 7pm Responsibilities: Support prescription preparation, labeling, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision Enter prescription data and manage inventory using pharmacy software Coordinate with billing to ensure insurance clearance before shipments Communicate with intake coordinators, field staff, and managers regarding shipments Monitor and confirm delivery of medications and supplies Maintain accurate patient files and documentation Participate in quality assurance and inventory control activities Stay informed on chronic disorders, insurance coverage, and pharmacy regulations Attend quarterly meetings and continuing education programs Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Retail, Hospital, and/or Specialty Pharmacy setting High School Diploma / GED Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office) Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance Desired Skills: Experience as a Pharmacy Technician (certification not required) Familiarity with CareTend or CPR+ pharmacy software Knowledge of Insurance processes and Prior Authorizations
