Kensington Place offers beautiful, comfortable and secure Senior Living options including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need. What will I do as a Certified Medication Aide with Lutheran Social Services : Assists licensed nursing staff by administering daily medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with established nursing standards, facility policies and procedures and state requirements. Provides daily care, assessment, and assistance to assigned residents in alignment with licensure. This includes ensuring medications are administered in a timely and accurate manner, monitoring and tracking vital signs, and providing assistance with hygiene and personal care. Ensure proper administration of all treatments and medications and accountability of all medications, including narcotics. Completes accident / incident reports as necessary, report changes in condition and ensure appropriate documentation regarding such in the medical record. Delivers routine daily oral, inhalation and topical medications to residents under direct supervision of a licensed nurse unless otherwise allowed by state law. Observes for any adverse drug reactions and reports any problems to the nurse. Records medication administration according to company policy and procedures. Follows written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications. Observes residents for changes in their condition and notifies nurse accordingly. Perform tasks associated with medication administration. Practices safe handling and storage of medications. Responds to resident requests / complaints and report to nurse on duty Other duties as assigned. Requirements for a Certified Medication Aide with Lutheran Social Services : High School diploma or equivalent. Must have medication aide certification (MA-C). Minimum of 1 year of health care industry experience or 2 years' experience as a certified medication aide. As one of the largest non-for-profits in Central Ohio, we value our employees.
