A Specialty / Long Term Care Pharmacy in Columbus, OH is seeking a Full-Time Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician to start ASAP! This is a great opportunity for techs with prior LTC, specialty, or pure retail backgrounds to transition into a Closed-Door setting!
Start : ASAP
Duration: 6 months with potential perm hire for the right candidate
Schedule : Day or Evening Shifts available + rotating weekends
Duties: Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)
Accuracy check of final preparation prior to presenting to pharmacist
Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose of per procedure
Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times
Package materials and products manually
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
Qualifications:
At least 1-year of recent pharmacy tech experience (required).
preferably in a LTC setting but high-volume retail experience is accepted!
Ohio pharmacy technician license in good standing (required).
PTCB (preferred, but not required)
Must be able to keep pace in a high-volume setting
