They should also have passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and be licensed to practice. Some roles that a person may hold before becoming a Pharmacologist include being a Pharmacy Technician, a Research Assistant in a laboratory, or a Pharmacist. These roles allow for practical experience and understanding of the pharmacy industry, which is crucial for a successful career as a pharmacologist.
