Pharmacy Director Jobs in Ontario

A Pharmacy Director is a senior management role in the pharmacy industry, responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, setting strategic goals, and ensuring adherence to legal guidelines and internal policies. They manage the staff, ensure that the quality of drugs being distributed is high, and that the pharmacy is stocked with the necessary pharmaceuticals. They are also involved in budgeting and preparing reports for senior management. Additionally, they may participate in pharmaceutical research and may be asked to improve pharmacy services by implementing innovative systems.

They should have several years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Excellent organizational and leadership skills are essential, as well as outstanding communication and people skills. They should also have a deep understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and clinical monitoring. Before becoming a Pharmacy Director, one might have roles such as a Staff Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacy Manager, or Pharmacy Operations Manager.
