This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed California pharmacist with leadership experience who is ready to oversee daily pharmacy operations, support staff development, and ensure regulatory excellence. The assignment starts ASAP, runs 13+ weeks, and may lead to a permanent hire. Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13+ Weeks Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift Potential: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities

Supervise daily pharmacy department operations, workflows, and assigned staff

Manage staff schedules, coverage, and work assignments

Perform pharmacist duties including dispensing and clinical review functions

Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency and workflow performance

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards

Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Provide staff education, onboarding, and orientation support

Serve as a subject matter resource for policies, procedures, and best practices

Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care goals

Maintain a safe, compliant, and productive pharmacy environment

Work Hours

Monday through Friday

Day shifts

Full-time schedule

Experience

Previous pharmacy management or supervisory experience required

Hospital or LTAC pharmacy experience strongly preferred

Experience with regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and staff leadership

Education

PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program

Active California Pharmacist license required

Other Qualifications

Strong leadership and team development skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to balance clinical duties with operational oversight
