Pharmacist

Position Summary:

Responsible for the full scope of pharmacy services in practice area. As a professional pharmacist, takes personal responsibility for competency in all areas of care delivery related to pharmacy practice area.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews medication orders and medication dosing
  • Consults with patients and members of the healthcare team
  • Oversees pharmacy interns and pharmacy technicians and their work products
  • Completes additional project and/or committee work related to practice area
  • Precepts pharmacy students and/or residents
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy OR a Bachelor's degree with hospital experience preferred
  • Must be licensed and/or License eligible in the state of Idaho. Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of date of hire.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with electronic health record and other technology as required by practice site

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
  • Typical equipment used in a clinical job
  • Repetitive movement
  • Must be able to stoop or crouch
  • Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
