The role involves launching the pharmacy department from the ground up in a specialized inpatient behavioral hospital setting. Location: East Peoria, IL (near Peoria International Airport) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM On-call coverage required after each shift Possible weekend on-call coverage Key Responsibilities: Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy, managing all pharmacy operations Oversee the opening and setup of the pharmacy department Stock and maintain Omnicell automated dispensing systems Approve medication orders and coordinate Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) meetings Collaborate with staff to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth operation No sterile compounding duties involved Preferred Experience and Qualifications: Active Illinois pharmacist license is required Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred, particularly within behavioral health Experience with HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation highly desirable Ability to work independently with no tech support available Experience or willingness to learn new systems; training will be provided for HCS and Omnicell Additional Information: Position is contract-based, starting as soon as May 25th through July (dates may be adjusted) Business casual dress code Local candidates preferred; travel expenses will be considered for relocation This is a unique leadership role in a new start facility with opportunities to shape pharmacy services If you meet the qualifications and are prepared to take on this pivotal leadership role in behavioral health pharmacy, apply today to advance your career in a dynamic environment.
