Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the rapidly growing field of specialty pharmacy. This role involves working with specialized and complex therapies provided to patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the pharmacy team in processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and team members via phone, email, and fax.

• Fulfill prescriptions, package medications for shipment, process copayments, and research financial assistance options.

• Complete order entry and prescription refills under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

• Manage inventory and storage of medications, ensuring proper documentation (e.g., labels, log sheets, and reports).

• Participate in on-call rotation as needed based on staffing and business requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid California State Pharmacy Technician License (required).

• High school diploma or GED (verifiable).

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.

• Basic computer proficiency, including word processing and spreadsheet use.

• Excellent verbal and written customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PTCB certification (preferred but not required).

• Experience in retail, specialty pharmacy, or mail order pharmacy settings.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

• Training schedule may be the same unless otherwise noted.
